This week's roundup features a couple version updates and feature releases/improvements. WordPress 4.8 officially released. PeepSo v1.8.1 now available for download. Jamroom introduces new eCommerce modules and phpFox releases a new instant messaging app.

In this week’s roundup - mooSocial releases its first update in six months and it's packed full of improvements and bug fixes. phpFox release Neutron 4.5 beta. WordPress 4.7 moves to beta 3. PeepSo pleads for help with translations and SocialEngine PHP takes home the award (again) for "Best Social Network Software".

Two months of rigorous beta testing is over. Jamroom v6 has been unveiled and there are tons of improvements...we're talking about a whole new generation after all. Hey, my guess is this initial release is just the tip of the iceberg. Jamroom has made some amazing improvements over the past several months and there is no sign of a slowing momentum.

In this week's roundup - BuddyPress 2.9.0 moves to beta 2. Ning continues to impress its users, announces the release of analytics for both versions of their platform. JomSocial gives another preview of what's to come in v4.4 and SocialEngine offers thousands in prizes to name their newly unveiled mascot.

StackIdeas announced the release of EasySocial 2.0 Alpha and it's looking pretty good. More news from StackIdeas and this one is good for the users of the popular "comments extension" for Joomla - Komento. The free version of this extension will be laid to rest.
